The Joint Commission Proposes New Requirement Related to Measuring Pediatric Weights in Kilograms

The Joint Commission (TJC) has opened a new field review seeking input on a proposed requirement related to measuring pediatric weights in kilograms in the hospital and critical access hospital settings.

The Joint Commission states that, “Its emphasis is different from the Environmental Assessment Survey that was launched earlier this month which sought information about best practices related to measuring pediatric patients in kilograms.”
