| The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) is a private, 501(c)(3) , non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of healthcare. NCQA is referred to as the watchdog for managed care, but the organization also recognizes individual doctors and medical groups. NCQA provides information about health care quality to consumers and employers. The organization also provides information and feed back that help physicians, health plans and others to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes in order to better the quality of patient care. |
