| The Joint Commission (TJC) has issued a reminder for Hospitals and Critical Access Hospitals outlining the criteria used to determine when a physician practice is included in an accreditation survey. According to TJC, if one or both of the following conditions are met, then a physician practice is included in a TJC accreditation survey:The hospital includes the physician practice in their Medicare cost report as a provider based practice (i.e., the provider practice is not freestanding)...
