| The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) have issued a notice of revisions and clarifications to the Interpretive Guidelines for the Medicare Hospital Conditions of Participation (CoPs) in 42 CFR §482 (A-0301).
The revisions included clarification for Food and Dietetic Services (482.28). Specifically it clarifies that therapeutic diets must be prescribed (ordered) by the person responsible for the care of the patient.
