| The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is informing providers that it is imperative for them to immediately look at their National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) records to ensure that they did not inadvertently report their, or someone else's social security number (SSN) in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)-disclosable field; if they did, they need to delete that SSN immediately and, if appropriate, replace it with the correct information (e.g., an Employer...
