| The Joint Commission (JC) has issued revisions to Leadership Standard 3.110, Element of Performance 12. According to JC, the revisions provide clarification regarding the procurement and donation of organs and other tissues. The revisions become effective January 1, 2008. Currently LD.3.110, EP 12 states that hospitals must work with their Organ Procurement Organization's (OPO) and tissue and eye banks to develop a donation policy that addresses asystolic recovery...
