| According to a memorandum sent to hospitals from The Joint Commission, Interim Action for Standard MM.4.10, EP 1 (for Emergency Departments), that was effective January 1, 2007, has been repealed.
Effective immediately, the interim action is rescinded and the standard, as currently published in the Joint Commission’s Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospitals and Critical Access Hospitals, is in effect.
