| The FDA has issued a final rule on acceptance criteria for patient examination and surgeon gloves. This rule improves the barrier quality of medical gloves marketed in the United States by reducing the current acceptable quality levels (AQLs) for leaks and visual defects observed during FDA testing of medical gloves. This final rule is effective as of December 19, 2008.
