| The state of California recently passed new requirements for hospitals regarding the reporting of adverse events. According to the new law (Cal. Health and Safety Code §1279, et seq.), which becomes effective July 1, 2007, all healthcare facilities in California must now report “Never 27” adverse events. In light of the new legislation, the StayAlert Administrator has been asked to review the “Never 27” adverse events.
