| JCAHO has issued a field review on a proposed standard regarding conflict management in leadership groups.
According to JCAHO, current standard LD.1.20 EP 12 addresses conflict management, but it does not address cases where conflict cannot be resolved. In the proposed standard, LD.2.40, the organization would be required to manage conflict between leadership groups in order to protect the quality and safety of care.
