| The 2007 National Patient Safety Goals have been released by the Joint Commission and are effective January 1, 2007. The JCAHO has reformatted the goals, requirements and implementation expectations for 2007. Implementation Expectations appear with each goal and Rationales have been added to most of the goals. The Implementation Expectations appear in the same format as the Elements of Performance for JCAHO standards. The same scoring process will be used during surveys for Implementation...
