| CMS has issued a notice to health care providers who bill Medicare contractors for their services that, per section 5203 of the 2006 Deficit Reduction Act, there will be a temporary hold on Medicare payments for all claims, from September 22, 2006 to September 30, 2006, the last nine days of the federal fiscal year.
