| CMS has developed a training package for the National Provide Identity Standard (NPI), a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standard that requires the adoption of a standard unique identifier for healthcare providers. The training modules will assist providers with self-education, as well as education of staff. The entire package will consist of five modules:
