| CMS has issued new quality standards for suppliers of durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies (DMEPOS).
Section 302(a) (1) of the Medicare Modernization Act (MMA) requires the Secretary to establish and implement quality standards for suppliers to be applied by recognized independent accreditation organizations.
