| The following is a summary of changes and additions to the Joint Commission's 2006 National Patient Safety Goals.
2006 National Patient Safety Goals:
Goal 1: Requirements 1A and 1B remain the same
Goal 2: Requirements 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D remain the same
Note on Requirement 2B: In June 2005 JCAHO confirmed its "do not use" list of abbreviations and deleted the requirement that healthcare organizations identify three (3) additional "do not use" abbreviations specific to their...
