| JCAHO issued a Sentinel Event Alert, Issue 34 on July 14, 2005 in regards to the inadvertent administration of vincristine intrathecally. Vincristine should never be given intrathecally (in to the subarachnoid space). Vincristine should only be administered intravenously.
