| The JCAHO in the February 2005 standards manuals update has revised the effective date for compliance with element of performance number two for Infection Control standard IC.4.10 to immediate status. This revision addresses implementation of a hand hygiene program that complies with the current CDC guidelines, and revises the scoring category of EP #2 to score A, effective immediately.
