| In the February 2005 update to the accreditation standards, the JCAHO added requirement number seventeen (17) to the Accreditation Participation Requirements Chapter. The new requirement addresses personnel of healthcare organizations reporting safety or quality concerns to the JCAHO. The new requirement is effective July 1, 2005.
