| In the continued StayAlert series on the JCAHO's 2006 proposed National Patient Safety Goals (NPSGs), the following are the 2006 proposed revisions to the existing 2005 NPSGs for Ambulatory Centers:
NO REVISIONS TO GOAL #1: Improve the accuracy of patient/resident /client identification
REVISIONS TO GOAL #2: ADDITION OF NEW REQUIREMENT
Goal # 2: Improve the effectiveness of communication among caregivers.
