| In the February 2005 JCAHO standards update, the JCAHO has changed language under the Initial Surveys component of the Accreditation Policies and Procedures chapter of the standards manuals. The change essentially revises the time period of eligibility for application for initial survey for those organizations that have been unaccredited by the JCAHO during the previous two-year period to a six-month period (i.e., those organizations that have been unaccredited by the JCAHO during the previous...
