| As noted in a previous StayAlert notice the JCAHO has published proposed National Patient Safety Goals (NPSGs) for 2006, which are undergoing filed review. The previous notice addressed the proposed changes to the goals for Hospitals and Critical Access Hospitals. This notice addresses the proposed National Patient Safety Goal revisions for 2006 related to Long Term Care organizations. The following are the 2006 proposed revisions to the existing 2005 NPSGs for LTC programs:
