| The a statement in the January 2005 edition of "JCAHOnline", an electronic newsletter published by the JCAHO was issued noting that the JCAHO continues to work with other healthcare associations and societies concerning medical healthcare errors related to the misuse and misinterpretation of abbreviations, acronyms, and symbols.
