| The StayAlert Administrator published a notice regarding the JCAHO's Sentinel Event Alert related to use of Patient Controlled Analgesia (PCA) by "proxy". Included with that notice was a general policy outlining use of Patient Controlled Analgesia. A sentence correction has been made to that policy to revise the statement calling for the presence of Narcan at the bedside for patients utilizing PCA.
