| JCAHO has issued a new standard in response to the CDC's recommendation regarding influenza vaccination and healthcare personnel (HCP).
Standard IC.4.15 states that immunization for influenza must be offered to staff and licensed independent practitioners (LIPs). This standard applies to Hospital, Critical Access Hospitals and Long Term Care accreditation programs and is effective as of January 1, 2007.
