| The 2006 NPSG 3D addresses the labeling of all medications and solutions, on and off the sterile field, in the perioperative/ procedural setting. This includes medications and solutions on and off the sterile field. This requirement speaks to medication containers, cups, syringes, basins, etc.
The implementation expectations for NPSG 3D have been changed to be more consistent with the elements of performance for standard MM.4.30.
