| JCAHO is seeking comment on proposed additions to Standard EC.7.40, which states that emergency power systems within organizations must be maintained, tested and inspected. Comments are being accepted by JCAHO until February 9, 2006.
JCAHO is proposing to add an additional Element of Performance. Proposed EP 5 states that:
