| The Joint Commission announced the new APR 19 in the CAMH Update 4, November 2005. APR 19 states that hospitals must meet all requirements for the timely submission of information to the Joint Commission. Accredited hospitals are required to have regular interactions with the Joint Commission has part of the continuous accreditation process.
Consequences for failure to comply with APR 19 are as follows:
