| JCAHO Standard EC.2.10 states that hospitals will identify and manager their security risks.
The rationale for this standard explains that hospitals must manage the security of patients and personnel including potential for violence to patients and personnel in the workplace. The security of individuals coming to the hospital's buildings must also be managed. In addition, security of the environment, equipment, supplies and information should be managed.
