| The Joint Commission has added EP 17 to Standard PC.7.10 regarding the safe preparation of food and nutrition products, effective January 1, 2006.
Standard PC.7.10 states that a hospital has in place a process for the preparation and distribution of food and nutrition products appropriate to the care, treatment and services provided by that hospital.
