| In the CAMH Update, August 3, 2005, JCAHO added a statement of rationale to Standard PC.2.20.
Rationale for PC.2.20 states that a complete patient assessment incorporates information from multiple sources that include the patient, patient's family, other patient caregivers as applicable, medical jewelry, paper and/or electronic documents and databases that the patient may belong to.
