| The CDC has issued a Health Advisory regarding a confirmed diagnosis of rabies as the cause of illness in a Texas teenager, who has been hospitalized with encephalitis. The CDC recommends that healthcare professionals be prepared to respond to inquiries that they may receive due to public concerns about rabies, including postexposure prophylaxis.
