| The FDA has issued a notice of Bedford Laboratories' voluntary recall of one lot of the H2 receptor antagonist Famotidine (Pepcid). The recall is for Famotidine injection, 20 mg/2 mL dosage, due to lack of assurance of the product's sterility. Famotidine is prescribed for treatment of ulcers, gastrointestinal reflux disease (GERD) and conditions where the stomach produces too much acid, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (tumors in the pancreas or small intestine causing increased stomach acid...
