| The FDA has issued an alert regarding the use of prefilled IV flush syringes that contain both Heparin and Sodium Chloride. The solutions are used to flush IV catheters and may be contaminated. The manufacturer IV Flush, LLC has voluntarily recalled the IV flush syringes due to lack of proper clearance from the FDA. Additionally, it has been noted that patients using the IV Heparin solution have reported Pseudomonas fluorescens infections - with the infections possibly related to the Heparin...
