| The FDA and manufacturer Amgen Inc., notified healthcare professionals about revisions to the warnings and precaution sections of prescribing information for the drug Aranesp (darbepoetin alfa). Aranesp is utilized in the treatment of kidney disease and chemotherapy related anemia. Aranesp stimulates erythropoiesis by the same mechanism as endogenous erythropoietin.
