| The FDA has issued several statements recently regarding the use of Cox-2 selective non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) medications. These statements focused on the increased risk of cardiovascular events in patients taking Cox-2 selective agents (also called Cox-2 inhibitors).
