| The FDA and King Pharmaceuticals, Inc., have issued a reminder to healthcare professionals regarding the use of Bicillin C-R. Bicillin C-R is a mixture of 1.2 million units of benzathine penicillin G (BPG) and 1.2 mission units of procaine penicillin G. Bicillin C-R is intended for the treatment of moderately severe infections due to penicillin G susceptible microorganisms, such as upper respiratory infections, scarlet fever, skin and soft-tissue infections due to susceptible streptococci.
