| The FDA and Centocor Inc., have issued a warning regarding malignancies associated with the use of Remicade (Infliximab) a TNF-alpha blocking agent used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and Crohn's disease. Remicade works by blocking the body's immune system overproduction of a protein (TNF-alpha), which is an underlying cause of both rheumatoid arthritis and Chron's disease. Remicade also helps to relieve the pain associated with both of these diseases.
