| The FDA has issued a Public Health Advisory about the withdrawal of the anti-inflammatory drug Vioxx (rofecoxib) from the market by the manufacturer, Merck & Co., Inc. Vioxx is a COX-2, NSAID widely used for the treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and in some instances menstrual pain.
