| On March 21, 2006, the DHHS published a proposed rule that would revise existing regulations governing the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB). The proposed rule would incorporate longstanding statutory requirements under the Social Security Act. Comments on the new rule will be accepted through May 22, 2006.
