| The Joint Commission (TJC) has announced a delay in the release of the revised 2010 National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG). In December 2008 TJC announced that the current NPSGs would undergo an extensive review process similar to the Standards Improvement Initiative, the review process used to revise existing standards, and that there would be no new NPSGs developed for 2010.
