| The Joint Commission has recently published revisions to various standards and elements of performance across the 2009 accreditation manuals. Within the TJC's errata is a change to EC.02.03.05, Element of Performance 18 applicable to the Ambulatory Care and Home Care Accreditation Programs and effective immediately.EC.02.03.05, EP 18 now requires organizations to operate fire and smoke dampers at least every four (4) years to verify they full close.
