| The Joint Commission (TJC) has recently acknowledged discrepancies between their telemedicine credentialing standards and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) telemedicine credentialing standards. According to TJC, they are working with CMS to resolve these discrepancies, but until a resolution occurs, hospitals using TJC's standards for credentialing and or privileging decisions for telemedicine practitioners may not be in compliance with CMS regulations.The primary...
