| The Joint Commission (TJC) has suspended the July 2009 effective date for Medical Staff Standard MS.1.20. No new effective date has been announced. Revised standard MS.1.20 addressed medical staff bylaws, and more specifically, the relationship between the medical staff and hospital leadership.
