| The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is reminding Medicare Fee-For-Service (FFS) providers that as of May 23, 2008, CMS will require and send NPI-Only identifiers in ALL provider identifier fields for all HIPAA and paper transactions where a provider identifier is required.
