| The Joint Commission (TJC) has issued a correction to the text of Implementation Expectation 1 for National Patient Safety Goal (NPSG) 1, Requirement 1A, within the September 2007 Laboratory Manual Update, effective immediately.The missing text, "or blood products", should be added to Implementation Expectation 1. Therefore, within the Laboratory Manual, Implementation 1 for NPSG 1 Requirement 1A should read:"Two patient identifiers are used when administering medications...
