| The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has recently issued revised Interpretive Guidelines for the Hospital Conditions of Participation (CoP) Section 482.52(b)(1) and 482.52(b)(3).482.52(b)(1) requires that a pre-anesthesia evaluation be completed and documented by an individual qualified to administer anesthesia, performed within 48 hours prior to surgery or a procedure requiring anesthesia services. 482.52(b)(3) requires that a post-anesthesia evaluation be completed and...
